Here is one done.

I'm just trying to see some photos of carpet, maybe some closeout panels. I want to lay some carpet in my and I can't decide whether to make some panles for the sides. I also have no measurements so I would have to make some templates. I know that there is a site that sells some fiberglass panels for $300 bucks but what fun is that?

I also want to start a thread that gives good examples of what has been done just to shoot around idea for people like me with a empty trunk

splatter painted....didnt get the rust nutralized good I guess...starting to tint rust color already....back to the drawing board!

Correct splatter paint & semi gloss clear misted over top to seal it.

I finished my trunk this weekend. I wanted a less than stock look. I covered the floor with sound deadening and carpeted the floor. Also mades some panels to hide the wheel wells and the tail lights.

I've gotta say, being more of a purist generally speaking, what you have done with your trunk is pretty dam nice! Very clean look and nothing to crazy. Very cool!

Thanks - I didn't want it to look crazy with 5 subwoofers and amps - Just clean. The Bird was actually an after thought when I saw I had some extra material

The newer spatter paint that is available by the quart and is not water soluble really came out nice.

Who makes that paint?

I can not remember who makes it, just that I got it from the parts place by the quart.

I went out to check and see if I have any left, but I do not see it with the rest of my paint supplies.

I also took another close up picture of the spatter for a better reference for you. Upon doing so and downloading it into my computer I notices a couple of small rust spots. I will need to check closer tomorrow and see what the deal is with that.

I used the same stuff from TPP. It sprayed well, and is holding up good, but doesn't have as nice of a spatter pattern as Cats.
