I am in need of a new set of tires and I am not sure what to get. I have 14x7 with stock size tires Does anyone have any pictures of larger tires on their 14 inch rims.
What is your present tire size? Are you sure you have 14x7's I ask because sometimes rim width is measured incorrectly. Best acid test is the trim ring. If you have the 3" deep rings they're 14x7's.
I now have P235/60R14's (left tire in pic) on my convertible. They're close to stock size height wise, and no issues with rubbing. I was running P225/70R14's (right tire in pic), and I did have some rubbing when changing grades, turning on entry aprons. Oh, my convertible is lowered 2" in front.
For comparison, below is my car with the 235/60's on the passenger side, and the 225/70's on the driver side.
If you have a '67-8 check with those owners on rubbing issues with 14x7 rims. Stock rims for those years was 14x6. '69's have a scosh more room in the tubs to accommodate the 14x7 rims.
I run 235/60r14 in front with no rubbing, and 245/60r14 in back. The 245's in back make for a nice muscle car look...only draw back is there are only a few tires to choose from in a 60 series 14" tire. Just arent made any more. Also cant rotate with staggered sets, but looks cool.

I'll shoot pics tomorrow in the day light
I used to run 245s /60 /14 all around...a year plus ago it was time tim replace two, I couldnt find 245s in my brand (Road Huggers), so I went with 235s for the front...5 mo ago it was time to get 2 more...couldnt find any Roag Huggers at all, so I went with 235s /60s / 14 BFG all around ...could not find 245s.. 14s are hard to find nowadays...for 15s its a lot easier.
It has been said that production of 14" tire will basically cease by the end of this year. They claim they will be availalbe for years to come due to warehousing/stock etc. I know when I just switched to 15" last Nov I could hardly find any 14" to choose from. Yet another reason I stepped up to 15's...
