Okay, I know this is a really stupid question, but I'm perplexed. Here goes.
1) I can't find a picture anywhere of a finished wiper motor/pump/reservoir, and I could definitely use a photo if anyone has one.
2) Where does the reservoir fit?
3) Where are the spray nozzles? I can't find where they are, or are supposed to be. I see the little valleys where they are supposed to be run, but I have no clue where the hoses go or where the sprayers are. I must be missing something.
Try Vikki's site: http://thefirstgensite.com/index.html On my 68 the reservoir is mounted behind the driver's headlights on the radiator support. The nozzles are mounted on the cowl panel and come up in between the louvers. I think they are the same on the 67.
Okay, I found some pics of the reservoir, where I think it's supposed to be. Duh. I also finally found pics of the nozzle arms at Rick's Camaro, and I think I've got that figured out. However, I'd still be really grateful for some close-up pics.
Also - The wiper motor has 3 terminals that look like this:
[1]....[2].[3]
I believe that the furthest to the right (3) is the power lead, but I'm not certain. I think I burned the motor out while trying to figure it out...oops. The other two should be 2 levels of grounds for medium and fast wiper speeds or something like that. Anyone have any more info?
Nobody? Actually, it would really help to know which colored wires are attached to each terminal. If someone with working wipers would look and let me know, I'd be super happy.
I'm going to pay someone to fix it. I figure my weekend is worth about $300 based on my salary. A mechanic will charge $50. Bring on the beers and lawn chair!
Sometimes that is the best solution! Where a pro does it in a few hours, you can save days of frustration, and the risk of breaking stuff, for a few bucks.
It pays off to recognise your limitations sometimes!
