hello, well i have finally found the hidden vin code on my car, it was covered in body filler, the car does not have any vin plates, they were removed during a restoration and then lost by the previous owner, i have owned the car for 28 years and would like to know some of the vin details, if anyone could decode these numbers for me i would be most appreciative, 7u121219, my guess is it is an early build, but i would not be surprised to be wrong, the car has been in australia since 1976, so dont think it is in the us and a stolen vehicle. graham
You would need to go to http://phs-online.com to get a VIN report. All the partial VIN tells, without the original records, is that it is a 1967 with a V-8 built in Lordstown Ohio. My number analysis shows it was built around March of '67, not considered early.

well the car has deluxe interior, is a coupe, soft ray glass, tilt steering, does that help any, i would like to get the phs on the car if possible, i can not be %100 sure the interior is original, but appears to be, the car has the camaro console gauges & the camaro tacho in dash, i think this has been changed early on in the cars life. graham
thank you very much for the help, the pedals dont have any trim on them but i think they may have been changed, so if i send in that vin number to the phs people they will be able to give me all the details of the car, is that right ? graham
They can send the info for the car as it was built. Double check your numbers before you send it, and when it comes back check the build date on the invoice. The casting codes on your engine components should be 1-3 months before the build date.
