We entered our first car show today. To our surprise there were 4 firebirds, all 68's and three were convertibles! And the first time we've seen more Firebirds than camaros. We had a great time talking to other firebird owners. We also met quite a few folks restoring birds and hope to see more next year. We met Revvingup (Wade) who gave us a surprise. He used a picture of our car and laminated it to a piece of wood and cut out the silhuette. What a neat piece of art! Wade... thank you very much. Here's a couple pics from today.
I hope all you Father's out there had wonderful day!
Any FGF win? Always nice to spend Father's Day at a car show!
Now that you mention it yes. They gave out plaques to the top 20 and we were really surprised to be one of them out of 150 cars. Dustin had the biggest smile when they handed him the award.
A nice way to complete your work and begin a new chaper with your car.
Congrats!

So is that your first award of many to come? Me and some motorcycle friends went to a car show up here and there wasn't one first gen Firebird, 2 second gens though and 6 GTOs. Coolest car was a Coronet with the cross ram 426 hemi.
There were so many nice cars at the show that in my opinion were way nicer than ours, I dont know how we got in the top 20. I couldnt beleive the deatil some of these folks have (and the money) put into their cars. We might do one more this year, but no more. We would rather drive 7 hours than sit 7 in the sun. I think we'll just start showing up at cruise nights. BTW, Dustin drove the car for the first time tonight!
Now that's the REAL prize! Go Dustin! Great work you two.

Doug it was my pleasure to meet you and Dustin. WOW guys his car is awesome. You have to see the color in person to appreciate how nice it looks. I don't have a picture of Dougs car art but I do have 2 pictures of other cars that we have done. The AC Cobra is 36" long. We are asking $140 for one this size. The REO is our standard 17" size and they are $35 and we also do a 24" for $70 but I don't have a picture of one with me. We found a process to bond the picture to wood, laminate it, cut it out, then detail around the edge to match the color of the car as best as we can. I am including a picture of me holding them both so that you can get an idea of the sizes. If any of you are interested or want more info send me an email at wildwalldesigns@gmail.com. We don't have a website up yet but am working on it. I will have to figure out shipping but will only charge what it costs me.
Hey thanks Dave. I may not have made it very clear but we can do any car. We have done cars, people, animals, cheerleaders... if you can get a picture we can probably make it happen. If anyone sends a digital picture of their car we can make it into a unique piece of personal art. The best pictures are a 3/4 shot so you can see the front and the side and when it gets cut out and put on the wall it looks as if it is coming out of the wall.
Dave you have a pretty good hand drawing cars. Nice drawing of your 'bird.
