Trying to finish my 67 before the fourth. I ordered a booster and MC from JEGS. Supposed to be the right one for the 67. The mechanic is telling me the rod that goes into the MC is too long. Make a long story short, I ordered the complete setup from Matts Classic Bowties. It was listed as the right part for the Pontiac. The setup came and it has a metering block that the original setup didn't have. What is that for??? I have 4 wheel drums. Please let me know what you think! Thank you The link to the booster in question http://www.mattsclassicbowties.com/index1.html
metering block is usually use with front disc brake and rear drums. it retard the front brake application to compensate for the rear spring extension so that front and rear will apply at the same time
Time we introduce you to companies that DO NOT peddle Camaro only parts as Firebird parts:

So you're staying with 4 drum brake? I take it all you want to do is add a booster to your 4 drum brakes. If that's the case, all you need is the booster; and to route the lines with the original MC forward. Be careful not to crimp the lines!
I did the booster upgrade to my cammer. The only items I needed were the shorter push rod, and a threaded hose barb (intake manifold) for the vac line.
The shorter push rod is 1.5 inches long... I think. Let me check for the old thread I started about this subject. If you can't find one, cut the one you have and round off the tip so it seats correctly. Also you have to move the clevis on the brake pedal to the lower hole if I'm not mistaken.
