I have a 69 428 (YH block) with #46 heads and a Rochester Quadrajet, that turns. Anyone have a feeling what a motor like this is worth, say as a replacement for someone wanting to power up their bird? It currently sits in a 67 GTO that is a project car, but the GTO would be better served by a closer date coded 400 IMHO. If I was building a killer street machine I would probably keep her. Seems like a hot motor for someone's '69. Any opinions would be cool since I may market this engine soon.
And why would this motor NOT be good for us '67 and '68 owners????

1969 Firebird 350 Coupe, Rust free Texas body, formerly brown, now a TA clone with quality spoiler, latching hood and TA wheel; 1969 GTO Convertible Expresso Brown/Parchment(currently painted red). Both numbers matching. My first love was a Cameo White 67 326 Coupe, bought back in 1983, at the age of 17, for $1,200. Been hooked since on PONTIAC! Working on a 67 400 ragtop for customization-Gulf Turquoise/Parchment/400/4 spd! My winter project!
Don't tempt me! I've always wanted to drop a 428 into my yellow 'bird. A couple of good rebuilders have been sold locally, $500 for short blocks, $900 complete.
I have a complete '67 400 but the codes are not GTO codes.
