On the way home from the show my oil gauge was acting odd, normally at 60-65 mph it was at over mid way on the rally gauge (50lbs or so)and fluctuated normally between 35 and 60psi depending on rpm but noticed a few times it would hang steady at 25-30 lbs for up to 20 minutes then pop back up to 50 or so like someone reconnecting a wire...
?? sticky sender maybe ?? Oil was right up and engine sounded just fine...

Check it with a hand held gauge at idle and while slowly increasing rpm. Watch for a steady or bouncey increase. Then watch it at different rpm levels and see if it also stays steady or bouncey.
Well it normally does as said run at about 40 at an idle and increases steadily with RPM. When the anomaly happens it stays steady at about 30 and will not move with increased RPM. It happened twice on the way back. Once I shut it off and restarted and it was back to normal, the other time it just popped back while running.
I'm thinking sender may be sticking....never seen it bouncy.....always a steady increase, except when it bounced back to normal that one time.
Never seen a hand held O.P. gauge....is it pressure or electric and connected to the sender?
