Not a bad looking car, but what I thought was odd was that it has the 2 groove powersteering pulley usually found only on OHC-6 cars with Pwr St & A/C!!! Also is there normally some kind of clip to hold the lap belts to the center console on a 67? I am not a 1st gen expert by any means, I have only owned the 69 I have now, and it is a no console car.
I think it is Hood speak for power steering and bucket seats, but being old and extreamly white, I could be wrong!!!! And thanks for the link, I don't know what happened when I tried that.
OK, I see the locations for the AIR lines on the manifold now, so the smog pump mounted to the left (drivers side) of the Power Steering pump? I see some odd pieces of bracketrey on the pump aslo. DUH!!!! But then again I m=never owned a OHC-6 car with a smog pump either.
Like I said, Jeff ... unless you lived here and saw those ugly things all the time, you'd probably never know it. Yes, it mounts below and slightly outboard of the alternator. The second belt on the PS pulley drives the A.I.R. pump.
The '67 manifolds all have those ports, leading me to believe that Pontiac expected to have to add the A.I.R. pump to all of the '67 Sprints.
The add-on smog equipment is relatively easy to find locally. Most of the collectors such as yourself almost never see them.
