I have a 1969 Firebird Convertible that I am in the process of restoring, my questions is I also have a 1969 Hardtop (Firebird), is the subframe the same for the hardtop as the convertible?? The hardtop had a 6-cylinder in it. I want to rebuild the subframe off the hardtop and install in the convertible. Is it the same?

The subframe is the same. The steering linkage is different. The bolt-on motor mounts are different.

I knew the mounts were different, what is different about the steering linkage?

On a '69, the center link is straight on the 6 cylinder, curved on the V-8. Ames Performance says the 6 cyl version "works with" the V-8 but I've not tried it.
