I am having a problem with my 67 vert. When the power top goes down it seems like it could go down about another 3-4 inches. The side bars shouls sit more into the interior panels. It sits up too high when fully open. I don't see anything in the way that is restricting the further opening. Any ideas where to start???

Take a peak down behind the cylinder covers and see if they are fully retracted. I'm not sure if there are any adjustments you could make to the frame to lower it more. You may have to pull the covers. Also check for bent or out of shape frame brackets etc. Those cylinders exert a tremendous amount of force and if someone tried to put the top down without releasing the the latches it could have distorted something.
On the long bar that goes to the center hinge is a three letter code stamped on the inside. FPL/FPR for power, FML/FMR for manual. The rails and arms are different.
