After owning this car for 27 years and it being parked in the shop for the last 12 or so it is finaly back on the steets. I have worked hard on it all winter long. Had some of the work farmed out but did much of it myself. It has a rebuilt 67 400 block, turbo 400 trans,323 Eaton posi rear end,Hotckis Subframe connectors, Hotchkis 4 leaf sport spring package, new sub frame bushings, shocks, Quick ratio steering box, regimental red paint,400 hood (Thanks to Bill Speer)new delux interior, whole inside of car lined with sound deadner,Kenwood stereo,Hertz speakers, new Crager wheels, TA radials, PST polygraphite front end kit, new coil springs, tinted glass and I'm sure there is more but it has been a blur for the last several months working full time and spending every spare minute on the car. Hope this link works for the pics. http://s997.photobucket.com/albums/af94/Nealgd_photos/
nice car,i love the color.one question are you at all concerned about rust forming under the sound barrier in the trunk.when i got my car it had a trunk mat in it and when i looked under it there was surface rust.or is the sound barrier breatheable.
Treated floors with por 15. Underside is undercoated. Rust is not a issue in this area since they don't salt the roads and there no ocean's near here. The only real rust was under the back window right below the stainless trim and it was removed. The only time it will get wet is when it is washed. Other than that it is tucked in the shop. I love this site as it is a great place to find info and parts. Thanks
I'm about 100 miles south of Spokane Wa. on the Idaho Wash. border. Seattle is a 7 to 8 hour drive from here. But you never know if I get a wild hair we may make the trip. Would love to go since my wife now wants a pontiac of her own we may be shopping for one.
