Hello. I realize that this may not be the best forum for this, so I put it here and under "interiors". I was wondering if anyone has bought and used the complete interior kit for Standard interior for a 68? The kit is cheap, only 479.00 for everything (carpet, headliner, front and rear seat covers, and all 4 door panels). I was wondering how this held up for anyone, and dod you have to modify parts to get them to fit, etc? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, JB
I bought the deluxe kit - For a 68 convertible so no headliner.
The seats, rear panels and carpets are fine. The door panels are a completely different color (bright white rather than parchment). -- CI tells me they are from a different vendor but they are going to try to get me the right ones.
I bought the kit together to get a match - if they can't get me the right door panels I'm hosed (already installed the seat covers) and there is no way I can use the door panels I have....
How did it compare to you're old material as far as grain and thickness? I have both first and second gen cars and had to go to SMS to get the correct vinyl, for my 70, because the aftermarket stuff was all cheap crap.
The vinyl wasn't bad. - Although its a bit difficult as my original interior was very bad (leaky convertible).
CI did call me back - they can't get a match and best they could do was send me the interior paint for my door panels to try and match the seats... Not much else I can do, so I'm stuck.
that sucks... any pix? I want to do all my interior.

1220 of them were “(WU)” 400 A.I.R. 4 barrel manual transmissions. (Engine codes in parenthesis are for cars built with AIR Injector Exhaust Control, code 616. This was an emissions reduction modification performed on the heads. They were cast with an air injection passage to reduce emissions. They were installed on Firebirds manufactured for sale in California only).
It has a 24 339 code for the dealer on it from PHS... It was from Peninsula Pontiac, 2909 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrence, CA 90505
