who's going? just a little town near Grand bend ontario but they go all out and put on a great show.the whole town gets involved .they have a cruise on the friday night with close to 200 cars then the show on saturday with 800+ cars.they have breakfast & dinner in the arena (porkchops and beans) and a dance at night.i'll be there for the saturday show.
Had a great time, rained in the morning but cleared by afternoon.turn out was around 400 cars.meet a guy with a nice orange 69 from st.agatha.the main street was closed down and was full of craft vendors and musical entertainment.they gave a good porkchop & beans dinner,i found out the longer you stood in front of the guy dishing out the beans the more you got! it made for an interesting ride home lol. they cooked up 2,400 lbs of beans and 4,500 porkchops .now thats a lot of beans!
Sounds like fun. Beans, beans the magical fruit...lol. When I went to start my car yesterday, I heard a belt squeal and checked. It was because of the lower alternator bolt that had snapped off in the head. It was grinding and sparking on my power steering pulley. Lots of fun! So I took the model T instead. The weather was the same here in London with rain early on. Pretty nice show on Saturday. But my dad got rained out on the ride for heroes. Thankfully in the truck and not my car If you watched the news you probably saw something about it...lots of bikes and some classic cars that never made the news.
Sounds like fun. I have been asked to stay away from bean festivals after the 2007 incident. People should not put campfires that close to a tent trailer at a bean festival!!
I can't believed it rained and I wasn't even there!
Next weekend is Autofest in Oshawa. That is always a must in these parts.
i also meet Steve (commanchebird) at the show,i hadn't seen him since bothwell last year. he is still working on his commanche 69 firebird and making good progress.it was good to see him again.
