i have the hurst shifter (promatic 2) and i was wondering about the drive gears. when you put it in gear is it in 1st gear or something? b/c i noticed that if you keep hitting it down it feels like its shifting gears. Are you supposed to put it in drive and push it forward into second, and then third and so on... or was the gear i put it in like 2nd gear only or like low gear? bc when i drove it in that gear it wouldnt let me go past 35mph without making high rpms. i think it was low gear but am just checking. thanks

should be just like a regular shifter. park, reverse, drive, 2nd, 1st. went you hit it down, its going into a lower gear
