My 67 conv came without a power top motor it has cylinders and hoses, so I bought a original style pump motor. Do you need to bleed the cylinders? if so just how do you do it? Thanks Louie
Louie, there have been a few magazine articles on this, one of the last ones I saw was late last year, early this year in High Performance Pontic Magazine... I could find it, scan and email you if you like?
Or, maybe better, go here: http://www.convertibleparts.com/ and click on products, then pumps and motors, and on the right side of the page, you'll see their refill kit. It is pretty basic for the price, but will help you with what you need including the fluid.
Make sure your lines are in good plyable enough shape, if questionable, they are cheap to replace and that's cheap insurance.
