Going to pick up a hood latch that I'm told is a 68.I have a 67 I can take along but is there a way to visualy tell what it is by measuring or a mark in the stamping? anything?

Thank you Thank you Thank you. Acording to those pics I have a 68 latch already.I'm going to clean it up and try fitting it off the car now.

Bad news. My latch is the same as pictured labled 68 but my hood has the flater style catch.Can't figure out what to do other than use the new hood as a donor for the skin to put on my old hood frame or try to change out the catches.Anyone had similar problems?Pics would be great!
