I just recieved my conversion kit today. I am going from manual front drums to power disc brakes. I didn't find any spindles in the boxes so am I supposed to use the drum spindles? http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?input=ab223p&SM=1&SC=

Mine were from Tamraz They used the drum spindles.Probably the same kit? Grat upgrade! Just dont throw anything away until you are finished. You may be using some of the line mounts and other small parts also. I am assuming you are changing the lines too.

Hey thanks for the reply. I just read the destructions and I think I do you use the original spindles. Go figure maybe I should have read first huh.

I usually torch first and ask questions later!
It was a fairly easy job, but I was rebuilding the entire front end at the same time. It stops like a new car when you complete it!

a warning though....SSBC has had some stopping problems before ...about 2 ,3 yrs ago a long thread on the L list about it....think it was related to the master cylinder used....not sure if/what resolution came if any....one of the guys from the manufacturer was on the L list for awhile trying to help....
just beware the first time you drive it with the new brakes!
