Going to be some type of red but not far enough along to pick yet.Still haveing trouble with my hood.I have what I believe to be a 68 latch but my goodmark hood trips the safty catch into the way before it gets to the latch.If I put the latch into the hood and close it its about .75 inch high.Going to give up for tonight and look at it again after work tomarow.
I had pretty much the same problem with a goodmark hood on my '69. When I brought the hood down the first time it would not close at all. I removed the catch from the support and inserted it by hand into the hood and it worked fine. I figured out that the angle of the opening on the hood was off by just a degree or so. Did a little bending and it worked fine. As far as not closing all the way, the catch does ratchet so if you push it down past the first click it will catch again. My body guy was pulling his hair out trying to adjust mine and when I gave it a push down and it caught he was supprised. He said he wasted a half of a day trying to get it right.
