I am in the same boat. I deleted all my heater and A/C stuff and was wondering what I was going to do about the dash. I was thinking of cutting out the whole area for the A/C stuff and the radio area and replace it with either an alum. or plastic piece, and install my guages into it
Yea I have that one. Its fiberglass and you have to drill mounting holes and for the blower motor, so just be careful to not crack or scratch the fibreglass.
Fit wasn't great. The delete box is flat, but my firewall had a slight curvature at the top where it starts to transition to the horizontal. It left about a 3/8" gap that I filled with a plastic wedge, then black RTV'd around the whole thing to make it air tight.
I took the relay and resisters off the top of the old suitcase and put them inside behind the dash, on top of the heater core box. Did that to keep the original wire harness in one piece and have speed control for the blower motor on the dash control.
Its great for room in the engine compartment and makes changing plugs a heck of a lot easier !
Which company did you go thru? There seems to be a few that carry them now.
I know that when I get one, I want a good customer support link. When I installed my disc brakes from Classic Bowties they were with me every step of the way. They even offered to help tape my hair back on after I pulled it all out (what little is left).
I bought it thru Classic Industries but its made by the same company from the link you posted above. I think NPD sells the same one. Ames lists one that looks slightly different.
