Well, your ol pal Hoopity has returned from yet another strange B-J auction. I don't know how many watched it, but rest assured that non upper box cars were off 25-40%! Although once the bidding went to the sky boxes cars were selling well into premium price range, the cars that stayed on the floor were way off! I know there was several "strange ones" (a 30,000.00 Nash Metropolotin!!!) Of course Ron Pratt doesn't much care what he pays.... One strange hitter was the green 68 z-28 that didn't brake 50,000.00. Well, we'll just have to seewhat Scottsdale offers up. Now, with the Orange Co. auction comming perhaps BJ has complete domination of the NO RESERVE auctions!u
How was Vegas besides that? We went last year. Had a great time. They had a drifting show going on out in the parking lot that was all kinds of fun to watch. My wife was too scared to go up to the fence. She just knew somebody was coming right thru. Gotta love Vegas.
I already have my tickets for BJ Scottsdale 2010 Day 1 (Monday).
I prefer the 1st day to see the cars over the actual auctions. Unless I see a car that seems interesting, then I will try and tune it to see how it does.
2012 Mustang Boss 302 #1918, Competition Orange. FGF replacement 2006 Mustang V6 Pony, Vista Blue. Factory ordered. 2019 BMW X3 (Titled to the wife, but I'm always driving it for her. So I'm claiming it) Old projects, gone but not forgotten: 1967 FB 400, original CA car. After 22 years of work, trashed by the guy who was supposed to paint it. I had to sell it. 1980 Turbo Trans Am 1970 Mustang fastback, 351C 4Bbl, auto 1988 Mustang GT, 5 speed 1983 F-150 4x4, built 302 1994 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4, 454 TBI
That would be cool to hit one of the shows. Kinda car-razy the bucks that are still being spent on the cars?? Seen some nice examples run across the block.....
I'd rather see a rust bucket on the road, than a garage queen anytime!!

Is that Orange County CA or FL?
It's a buyers market. I'd say all cars, top end (Ram Air, Hemi's, LS6) to bottom end are now about 40%-50% down from 2 years ago. Plus even with the discounted prices it takes a lot longer to find a guy looking to part with the cash to buy it.
