My 68 FB convertible windshield chrome (the part that comes in contact with the top when closed) has screw holes in it. Is something supposed to be there? It has a new top and it does leak a little if driving in the rain from the rain rolling up the windshield. Thanks, Jason
yes ,the screw holes along the top receives screws , nothing else....
that it leaks a tad in rain is pretty typical...you can reduce it some by adding a little vaseline onto the rubber seal on the top frame...that helps seal it...but I think they all leak some in the rain.....mine does.
on this subject , not to steal your thread , but do the windshield chrome clips need to go in before the windshield? If I remember correctly the screws just barely came out with the winshield in.

No. The windshield chrome snaps onto clips that are slid onto little steel studs. The studs are part of the frame.
The windshield goes in after the clips are mounted to the studs, then the chrome snaps over the clips.

Then yes, screw the clips in before the windshield goes in. There would be no way to get them in later.
