Just how do you get these *#things to go through the holes behind the seats? I looked through all of the old posts here and couldn't find an answer, help would be appreciated. Thanks Louie

A little light oil and a twisting action while pressing down firmly. If yours are too hard from age you may have to get new ones.

If you look closely at the mounting grommet, there is a hole in the big end. Using a blunt piece of rod, insert the rod into the hole and push down. This will stretch the grommet and allow it to be inserted into the hole. I also recommend applying some type of lubricant to facilitate the installation. Make sure the grommets are pliable before you attempt this or you will tear them apart.
