I had to purchase a replacement drivers-side kick panel for a 69 with A/C. The original panel looked like this:

There does not appear to be any holes lined up for securing the panel. I have not removed it from the protective packaging yet, as I wanted to check to see if anyone here had experienced this before and could enlighten me on the correct panel for the 69 coupe with A/C.

As I recall (and my memory is not as good as it used to be) when I ordered new ones for my 69, I had to send several back because the were selling ones for 67/68 as good for all three years. They will fit but the 69 is a little different. The new one you have looks like the 67/68 version. Did you get it from CI?

Yes it was CI. Does this mean the 69 had basically the same kick panel regardless of A/C or not, with the A/C version vent hole "plugged"?

Yes, they are similar (AC or not) Just as an FYI, when I replaced mine (69 with AC) I bought a kick panel for a non-AC car. Now I have a manual vent on the drivers side! It's great, since my AC isn't hooked up yet.

Thanks. That's a good idea. Whichever way I end up going, just hope I don't have to take it off later. Geesh what a hassle.
