Get some cameras and a dvr, I've got 2 and wouldn't live without them. I have the monitor right by the computer.

Sounds like you need some more lights. You said they weren't on. This was during the day? Or you had them switched off? Glad they GOT NOTHING. I ran a guy off that was 25 feet from our back window. He was half stuck. Till he HEARD me coming

I have motion detector lights, they do work....I had one dude trying to break in at my old place and when the light kicked on he ran so fast he fell over the wood pile and knocked it all over the place...must have hurt, as he did not stick around to restack it for me...

Lights deter crime so make sure they are on....Also, dogs deter crime, especially loud barking ones!

i agree with you on the lights, and a dog to be used to deter some slime of the earth from messing around. i have a boxer and when a animal is on the lawn he has a certain bark , but when a person comes around or walks in the yard the dog has a deeper bark that makes me aware that someone is on my property. that bark is an early warning to me , then i can get the guns out and (lock & load).

Usually out there till 12-1 am every night. 1st time i came in early in a week.
Motion lights are on 24-7.
None kick'd on so they knew how to avoid them.

The windows(no glass) are 3/4" thick(not 1/2") with oak 2x4 cross braces.
The overhead door has pad locks through both rails.
Go'n look'n for a solid wood/steel man door next couple nights.

That's why my two 100lb Black Labs live in the Garage and the back yard. If nothing else, they have a healthy bark and keen ears... that's enough to get someones attention quick.

Maybe string up some piano wire about a foot off the ground in a few key spots (where they could come or go from). Put it up each night before you go in and undo it in the morning... they won't run through your yard more than once!

no, but then you've got the monitors, wiring, power, etc. But real cam's are better off course...

The 2 I got were about $75 a piece, color/75ft nightvision, and came with all the wiring and cables. It's the dvr that are expensive but you can supposedly use an old cable dvr, they sell on craigslist for cheap, $20 or so. And I got a 10" color tv for $5 as my monitor.

The more you think about it the more you get mad and wanna get EVEN. Don't losse your head and get yourself in trouble. I was SUPPOSE to get restatution. I got two payments for the window he broke. Fence around the WHOLE back yard and more lights. It won't happen again. I HOPE. Do what you can and hope its enough

Heck you can just get a deer (game) camera that takes stills and get a picture of the little twit, found out where he lives and knock on his door and show it to him and make him pi$$ in his pants, or if he's older dirt bag, give it to the cops.
