For the most part it's GM. But there are differences you have to take into account. How many amps it's putting out, pulley size, mounting offset and wire location (clocking).
Power steering pumps vary too. The reservoirs are different. It's sort of a clocking thing like the alternator. If you have the wrong reservoir the top of it will be pointing in the wrong direction.
