Hello Everyone !

Does anyone recognize the missing wires in the following photos ? This is a 69' Coupe, no A/C, 350, Auto. There are 3 photos (3 questions). Thanks !!

1st photo: 4 wires coming off the fuse box (on the inside of the car), 3 of them go to the high beam switch, the other is brown and cut, any ideas what it goes to (it looks factory).


2nd photo: harness for front headlights, parking lights, side markers, horns, and one black wire cut coming out of the center (next to the plastic mounting clip), any ideas what it goes to (it looks factory).


3rd photos: harness part that goes under the dash, has a black connector off of it (5pin connector) with a 3pin connector that plugs into that (two of those pins are populated with a yellow and gray wire) the other two pins of the 5pin connector had one wire populated but the wire broke off and only the terminal is left, any ideas where that wire would go to ? Does it somehow connect up to the other wires shown (brown wire may go to the heater blower motor, and the other clear connector???)

i have the front of my 69 coupe off ,the 2ND photo- the single wire if i am looking at it correct should be to the horn . my bird has 2 horns the other horn has 2 wires into a single plug.

Thanks alot ! I looked and understand that part now. For that 2nd photo, do you know where the two "eyelets" attach to ? Each of the two are near the left and right headlight connectors so they maybe attach to the front-end somewhere as grounds ?

they are grounds, if my memory is right they connect on the radiator support left and right.

That brown wire in the 1st photo goes to your emergency brake switch

Image 1: Brown wire is the emergency brake switch, however mine comes out of the top of the fuse block.


Image 2: Not sure which wire you are referencing. The eyelits should be grounded here:






Image 3: This is for the factory radio. The yellow wire is hot. The missing wire you reference (green) is the front speaker.


The gray wire with the clear connector looks like the floor shifter light.

The brown wire with the rubber boot looks like the license plate light, but not sure.

Tan in the last pic is the fuel tank sending unit wire.

ok, I was thinking that it went out the front firewall because of the grommet (but could not find a connection for it), never thought about it going out the back. I assume it attaches somewhere to the harness in the trunk ? Maybe next to the license plate light connection ? Thanks..

No, the gray wire with clear connector is for the floor shifter light. It connects just past the gauge cluster in the dash.



The other end, connected to the shifter light, also has a ground wire.
