I made a little compilation of my road trip to France last year. I had some nice tunes there, and the sound of the car, wind, engine, but all audio was blocked due to permission issues from the record companies or something.. So I could choose a track that had permission. Now all other audio is gone #$%^&*!!!
Ah well, anyway, it was a nice litle trip, and some moving images are always nice; something different from all the jpegs all the time!

Nicely done, with all the beautiful views, quaintness of the scenery & red convertible, looks like it could be from a James Bond movie. I appreciate the hard work you put into your posts. Jeff
Wouter....I passed this on to Andy ,he really liked it...he was interested in talking to you...can you send me your email, ( I think I had it , but its gone...)
That was cool!!!!!!!! If I tried getting those shots of the side of the car while driving, I'd be left with a cardboard box full of crushed video camera equipment. Nice job.

Thanks for sharing. Was there another Bird along that took the footage?
I think that was one of the twins hanging out the trunk!
Boy, they grow up fast and are quite the dare-devils!

LOL, the cam was on a standard, so that functioned as a big "stick". Hanging out the back it wasn't so hard; I particularly liked the nose-shot in the beginning, accelerating.

no, I wish! Then I would've shot more footage of two Birds together! No, it was just my dad & my brother & me; I took 'em along in my Bird as a male-family-type of holiday for a week. Was good fun! We made a point out of a big lunch and a good diner every day, lots of sea-food, it being the coastal route, LOL

Actually, my girl found she was pregnant while I was on this trip! We found it were twins a few weeks later.. They turnt 1 3 weeks ago; time sure flies... Man has my life changed!
thanks wouter.. the mounts work great, fully adjustable...
I did a few webcasts last year and a couple of lil videos but no real productions... now I did give the kids a youtube studio for christmas and my old handycams.. I personally am still trying to get the rights to a song to shoot a video in HD, but the guy died last fall.. and even though the singer is a family friend.. he doesn't own the song and I'm not sure what to do now.
Very cool W. My wife says now we don't have to go to France. Looks like a good time. I had some honky tonk piano playing behind it. Seemed like a good fit.
that was great enjoyed , nice country side for the drive. you made a good video of the trip . thanks for sharing . i added it to my favorites on you tube.
The audio is still a bit ... strange in this one, with the transitions being weird, but I took some parts out of a longer video I made (1,5 hours movie) and there was already some music mixed with the background sounds. Couldn't get that out, so.. Ah well...
I plan on making another one of my Amsterdam - Dakar Rally I drove in 2005 with Toyota Landcruiser. That was awesome as well.
Here are some pics of my Dakar Rally. It was sort of a charity Rally, where you buy an old car, prepare it yourself, and then drive it through Northern Africa to The Gambia and then donate it. We donated our Landcruiser, which drove the almost 6000 miles without even a flat tire, to the local hospital. Shot a 1,5 hour video of that as well, but plan on making a short version for YouTube... I have some great footage of driving though the desert!
