I know this is probably a stupid question, but where is the proper location to rig the OHC 6 for removal and installation? I removed it by cradling the engine with nylon slings. Overhaul is complete and I would prefer to have better control on the installation. HELP

How much "assembly" do you have? There are only a few places to attach bolts through chains, such as where the PS Bracket support bracket mounts to the head above the manifolds.

It's diagonal partner would be the clamp boss at the back of the head just above and to the rear of the large core plug.

You should invest in an engine tilter to make it a lot easier unless you choose to install the tranny after the motor is in place.

I can remember in High School me and a buddy hand lifting an OHC into my 67 firebird. Didn't have a cherry picker and renting was beyond our means.
