You'll have to buy another car that has one on it, probably. I saw one on Craig's list for, like, $7,000.

You think even fixing the antenna is a bad idea? The radio works great, just can't get crap for reception when I get away from a bigger town.

Mark, I bought a good one from NPD that was for the front and it mounted different than a back one, can't remember why now, tried it last spring.

The rear antenna has a tapered mounting nut that allows it to stand vertical, not sure how the front one is made???

I think Jeff nailed it in his response as to why the one you tried last spring looked odd.

The one from ames won't work, According to the person I talked to. The base is not set up the same. You can buy their base and it will plug in. The original has a wire running in it. I needed the whole assembly for mine so far I have $200.00 in it. and that was luckly, sniping the mast on e-bay- N.O.S. for $110.00 if you arent worried about concorse I would buy the $45.00 kit from n.p.d. it works great just has a round mast instead of the oval and radio shack sells the cable to get to the radio.also it has a correct looking base ,meijers might have the extension too.I had to go original cause I will be judged. Also if you do decide to keep it stock DON'T lose the base ring under the top nut. It is VERY hard to get, even more than the mast...

OK, so us guys who have the rear mount power ant' need to just order a kit from NPD and it is a manual kit that works there. Does anyone know the part #?
