I appologize in advance for having to make a new thread about this because I know it is already here somewhere!!! But I have been looking everywhere and cannot find the information I need, so if someone can please point me in the right direction...

I am finally getting around to having my tach put on my hood and as a result, am going to have my hood (and tach, and scoops) repainted.. The 400 emblems that currently are on my hood were glued on and will be destroyed when they are taken off.

The hood is a 400 repop that does not have the holes drilled in the scoops for the emblem placement and when I purchase new 400 badges, I want to have the holes drilled and put the badges on the correct way.

I know that I have seen a template online with the proper measurements (much like the tach template) but for the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere.

Can someone please post a link or provide me with this info? I am sure it is here somewhere, but I think I am just going blind. Anyway, I want to make sure I do it right the first time and dont want to mess up my hood by drilling in the wrong place, nor do I want my 400 emblems to be placed in the wrong location.

I posted to the list as well and someone pointed me to thefirstgensite.com which I believe is Yellowbird's site. Anyway, I was able to find the templates I had previously seen.

I believe the template is for the original badges though and I know that the re-pops have the studs in different locations.

Does anyone have the measurements for each side as to how far the edge of the badges should be from the scoop openings and the rear hood edge?

Vikki´s templates are very accurate. The repops are dead on - no problem at all (at least when you buy them from one of the reputable partsuppliers ...)

Open the link, print the template and fix them on the border of your hood scoops.

BTW - the 350 emblems have different stud locations, perhaps that´s what confused you...

PS: Don´t forget -- the emblems are leaned FORWARD!

Thanks Thomas! I have pictures "somewhere" of tape measurements to my emblems (did that for someone else before), but I`ve been looking today ,and I cannot for my life find those pics now (probably will turn up when looking for something else!)

but my pics have a tape measure in two directions for both emblems from side and back of hood...then the stud locations have to be made from the emblems, as I dont have the hole locations.
