Is there supposed to be a check valve on the vacuum advance hose? It's a 68 400 and the original dual port vacuum advance can distributor is long gone.

I have looked at the FAQ's here on this subject and doesn't look to me it's a factory item.

Since the original distributor is gone, I guess I will route the vacuum hose in a "factory" way to make it look at least somewhat correct.

'69 didn't have dual advance/retard canister, and since you have HEI it'll never look stock. Just clean it up and it'll look a lot better.
