I seemed to have developed a "creaking" noise in my steering wheel. Sometimes when I turn the wheel either way I seem to feel and hear a "creaking" noise coming from the column. Is there anything in there that would cause this? Or is it a power steering box problem. I have recently replaced all subframe and control arm bushings too. They look fine. No play at all in the ball joints or steering that I can tell. Any ideas or hints for troubleshooting.

If you can make it "creak" you can easily find the problem. Just have a helper turn the wheel and you find where the noise is coming from. Sounds like suspension. Maybe you need some grease on your new parts.
