Finally getting my re-upholstered seats back in the car. But need to know which way the rear seat belts get bolted in. Does the side where the belt is sewn on point down or up?

The loop and sewing points down. (At least on '67-'8.) But I doubt '69 would have been different.

Thanks. The Fisher Body manual makes it look like they point up, but they didn't seem to fit right that way. (they stuck way up behind the backrest that way.)

no shoulder belts front as far as I know... you should have 3 sets of rear lap belts...most likely tucked in under seat, have you looked? ...if not there are at least anchors to screw into...or should be.
The bolt holes for the back belts are real hard to find unless you have the seat back out also. They are up underneath the bottom of the seat back. Thought I remembered the shoulder belts were an option in 68 and std equip in 69 in coupes. Not sure how they got around it for verts.
Mine was the same way. No shoulder belts, no rear seat belts. Guess they were not mandetory in '68. Anchor points are there for shoulder belts and rear belts. I just added shoulder belts from Morris Classic Concepts. He is also working on a solution for rear shoulder belts.
Never really thought about this, but my 67 only has 2 sets of rear belts. Did they all come with 3 sets in the rear? Mine does not have the middle set.
And would the middle set mount to the same bolt as the middle most belts from either side?
'67's came with two rear. In '68, the Feds figured three was OK, so all '68's came with three.
I compared both my cars and decided to add a third set in my '67.
(three girls)
Bolt size, pattern, etc. were the same for both cars.
For all the research I did on seatbelts and fgf's, deleting the rear or front seatbelts was not an option. So if they are missing, someone took them out.
