Sorry for all of my dumb questions...

What did the floor mats look like on the 68 Firebird? Were they different based on model?

I did look at the internet and found countless floor mats, one I think is the right one, but asking price is $300! For FLOOR MATS!

If you have a picture it would be MUCH appreciated!

type of floor mats that came with the firebirds when they were new had the pontiac arrow head on them , they were rubber mats. best place to find them is parts catalog from AMES, or NATIONAL PARTS DEPOT.or some other firebird parts catalog. i hope this helps.

Oh? That is great news because that's what the previous owner had in it! They just looked a little cheap by today's standards so I didn't think it possibly could have been!

That's what I have too, black rubber with the logo, I paid about $80.

There are some nice embroidered carpet style ones that match, but they are not "stock". The only issue with my drivers rubber mat is it skates around a bit, but that is easily fixed.

i also went with the firebird emblem rubber floor mats , they look great , and look like they "could have" came with the car when it was new.

Rubber emblem mats here too, very happy woith them. Most people think they are original (although they look brand new, LOL)..
