I noticed when I was first driving my car the drivers seat seemd like it sat up a little higher in the back then any of my previous 1st gen cars. so I nosed around and found it had some kind of seat extensions installed. I dont think they are original since there are no part numbers on them. they are well made and look like they have been in the car for years. here are some pics, any advise on if they were maybe a dealer install or aftermarket?

I have seen the aftermarket ones, they usually have studs and these have welded on nuts. This is a very original car that still has its original carpet and like I said they look like they have been in there a very long time! If you sit in a car that has these compared to one that doesnt it seems to make the back of the seat sit up higher and you can visually see the drivers seat sits higher than the passenger.
they came as original parts, you could get them installed...but are also reproduced nowadays...I have a set myself...even though I dont need the full 2 inches...I like the extra inch , helps get my arms more straight... firebird Bill on this site repops them...he also sells them on EBay under sellers name 'nitrotat'
I will hang onto them since they are part of a very original car. I like the seating position without them installed and since I am only 5'6" I really dont need them!! My wife could care less about the extra 2", she says I may not touch the bottom but I do beat the heck out of the sides!!!
Bjorn ,if he is not selling them , contact FirebirdBill...you can get his email if you email me..i`m 5 ' 8" and like those extensions..only use 1" of it , but like the extra for streching my arms when Driving.... of cousrse I`ll be out of town 3 days...Corpus cruise , starting at noon today!
Bjorn. I start my vacation May 15 in Los Angeles, I guesses some of the part dealers in California have them. I will make a new post about my vacation.
No parts dealers that I know of make these. Only Bill. I have a set of originals and ones from Bill, and they are identical. Not certain, but I think they're about $40 from Bill. I put a set on both front seats.
