I stopped in at about 3:30 saw a nice 79, and a couple other nice cars. I wanted to make it, but interior was in too many pieces. Will be nice to have a 67 68 and 69! I am nearing completion! The warm weather is certainly slowing me down!
They had some nice cars there for sure. Lot's of 70's Trans Am's when I was there. I was there from aroun 12:30 - 1:45 which included taking the kids to good old Stake and Shake for lunch. There is a show in Naperville on Wednesdays. I had heard it started last week which is odd as they tend to take place after Memorial Day. Weather permitting I'll be up there with my brothers 68 Camaro and a buddys car (either a Camaro or Chevelle, depends which he wants to take out).
Very sharp color! I am going to try to make it up there. I am not very far at all from there! I think the show did start last week. Wanted to go but ended up finishing the wifes camaro hood. Figures was the only day the weather was nice!
Hey Gene, I like the color on your Firebird! Looks like it has some candy apple in it, but doesn't look custom, it looks like a factory color.
I hope to see at the Naperville show on Wednesday night. That's a nice cruise night there. I'll look around for a 68 Camaro to see if I can meet you. Not sure if I'll take my car there or not (69 Firebird), but I'll keep an eye out for you.
There are a couple of shows I try to visit regularly. Lombard on Saturdays, Elmhurst also puts on a great show on Wednesday nights. Plainfield used to have one, but last time I was there they were under construction. Downers Grove has some nice ones too. I'll certainly be around and I look forward to meeting everyone.
Thanks for the compliments on the color. I can't claim it was my idea, but the color certainly drew me to her when I was buying her.
Nice car and color. Looks similar to a Candy Apple which is what I plan to paint mine with
But I'm really just enjoying the phrase:
