67 Coupe Manual
I am now putting the interior back together, and have a couple of quick questions.
The dimmer switch has two screws, I have lost mine, are they specific, as the holes appear to be threaded? Or can I use any sheet metal screw?

When installing the rubber shifter boot, should I put the hold down ring on top of the carpet, and the rubber boot under, or just cut the carpet out around the whole kit and kaboodle. I have a console so it won't be seen anyway.

Use a small sheet metal screw that fits. They will be under the carpet - only you will ever see them.

Sorry, mine's a 400/400. Can't tell you about the shifter boot.

That's what I used, those sheet metal screws with the integral washer head...

I have a 69 auto. Couldn't find a auto shifter at the time of rebuild. Opted for a Lokar shifter and had a 67 Camaro console. Black piece of lexan was used to mount the boot ring on and that was screwed into the mounts for the original shifter bezel. Turned out really well.
