I have a lead on a complete front clip for a '69 bird. I am told it is in prestine condition. It was removed to swap to a fiberglass front end for racing. Has been sitting in a barn for some odd amount of years. I am in need of a '67, but might buy this to swap someone eventually. The guy is also looking for a front clip for a '69 camaro he is doing. Any ideas?
Just off the top of my head... I'd say a good price would be near $500 + - and obviously would depend on the over all condition and how complete. Maybe up to $1,000 if really nice.
But that again depends on how bad some one may need it, then it could be worth a lot! Start checking how much individual parts like the fenders etc. are going for to get a better idea.
I just drove past a body shop yesterday with a complete mint 69 Camaro front clip... but I'd imagine they were working on the rest of the car too?
If "pristine" just fenders should be worth $350 ea. they fit whereas the aftermkt for $350 plus dont... Bumper if in "pristine" shape chromewise should be $250? the grills too would bring money... depending on if 350 hood or 400 hood it could be worth $75-300 You can check prices for all the parts involved , like headlight area, V filler etc, and if good parts they should bring at least what aftermkt would...
now, like FBody says , what he calls "pristine" may not be what you think it is...
you need to also consider (if you can't pick it up) what shipping will be, but you said that you had a lead which tells me you should be able to get it. I have seen them on ebay start at $300 all the up to $600. Hope it is in good shape for you Wade
Thanks for all the input. I will try to go see it soon, and possibly post pictures. Hopefully "pristine" it is. Jim it is located on the outskirts of the Flint area. Are you in need of one?
I bought a front clip a few months ago for a 69 on ebay for $300. I had to pick it up. Seller said very little rust, but bottom of fenders need patches and hood has some rust. Radiator support needs some repair, but I bought it mostly for the inner fender wells. 69 wells are hard to find and expensive.
