Have you looked at Whipple? Friend of mine had one of their low profile twin screw units on his 67 Mustang with no cutting on his hood. This has to be 12-15 years ago though, and it was a lot different setup than a blower with a snorkle.
A friend of mine is just installing one....its a prototype being made ,soon to be on the market...to fit under the stock hood...you will have to flip the alternator to the other side...if you are interested in talking to my buddy and find out who makes it ,sells it...email me at bsefeldt@mhinc.com and I`ll put you in contact w him.
