Hi everyone, I am considering building a blower motor. I have a 400 that I will be doing it with. Any ideas as far as pistons type and ratios,cams specs that would work well. Anybody out there have a good blower? Any help and imput on this would be greatly appreciated. What type of machine work would you recommend? any type of info thanx

There's a 2nd Gen Firebird owner over on the Classical Pontiac board that runs a homemade twin turbo setup on either a 400 or 455. He posted his progress on the BBB so you can go into the archives and look it up.

I believe HPP ran an article about that car in an issue sometime this year.

2019 BMW X3 (Titled to the wife, but I'm always driving it for her. So I'm claiming it)

1967 FB 400, original CA car. After 22 years of work, trashed by the guy who was supposed to paint it. I had to sell it.

1970 Mustang fastback, 351C 4Bbl, auto
1988 Mustang GT, 5 speed
1983 F-150 4x4, built 302
1994 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4, 454 TBI

I agree the Classical Pontiac board would be better suited for your question on that one. I have read a few posts on there about blower setups.

I think this type of blow through set up would be pretty dang kool too on a 400/455!

Brett, i got it. That is really nice. How does the price for something like that compare to a blower. Looks like the twin turbo sits under the hood. I LIKE THAT

blower drive service has some good info on blown engines and they make an 8-71 blower for pontiac v-8s
