hood insulation on ram air?

I've got the molded hood insulation for the 68 400 hood and will be installing functional ram air. Is there a different insulation pad I need to use or do I cut the molded pad to fit around the upper pan? Or are they omitted on ram air hoods?
Anyone have a picture?
