I'd like top and bottom to be done with looking for it but if I have to get one piece at a time then I'll go that way. And I'm looking for a good one that can be media blasted and powder coated if I can find one in good shape.

I only have the top and it has no dents, the air snorkle isn't bent or dinged, and the very ends are perfect which is unusual. I have pics, sorry I don't have a bottom but the top would be 15 bucks plus the shipping if you want it, and it is very very nice reacy for bead blast and paint. Just confirm for me a part number is you have one. Joe

I have a 326, 2 barrel carb, non-Cali A.I.R., automatic Powerglide, no heat riser parts on driver side manifold, push on air breather on pass side valve cover (non oem valve covers) and push on oil cap on driver side (again non oem valve cover) and guessing it is a standard and not HD

then they give two parts one ending in "3" and one ending in "4"

I believe the difference is 6424794 has the closed crank case vent, which I'm assuming mine is since it has a push in valve cover breather cap, and the 6424793 has the crank case vent.

That's the HD air cleaner, does it have the crank case vent? This chart is confusing as hell. Says (exc. closed c/c vent) so I would read that as having the crank case vent, right?
No crank case vent. Passenger valve cover has a plug, drivers side has the A/C chrome filler cap. My engine picts show it pretty well.
From what you wrote, I'd say no c/c vent because it's closed.
I am 99% positive mine is original to the car. I have pictures of it from the early 70's.
Would it help to take some pictures of it? Or are you trying to figure out which one your car should have? Mine is a standard 326-2 with Auto trans. No A/C or California emissions. Does that help?

There is a rubber gromey on the bottom of the snorkle on mine (to heat riser on exhaust manifold) here but no holes in the side for crankcase vent. I will take better pics, and mine ends with 4 as you know.

mine too. I can't see what the difference is other than the label, not that it matters much to me, but to people with the 326 cars they want to reproduce faithfully it may. I am just real curious at this stage! Mine will end up on the shelf for a bit longer if Montreux doesn't want it.

You should certainly get the PHS, it is the best 50 bucks you can spend!

It is amazing the number of different air cleaners that were used. When I removed the Edlebrock intake/carb combo from my car and installed the 68 Pontiac intake/Q-jet combo, the base was different. We went through stacks of air cleaner bases at my friend Mike's house before we found the one with a deep enough base that would allow the correct lid to be used. There are so many diffent bases it's unreal!
