My speedo cable is long gone....and I havent even thought about it in 10 years.....so I was looking at the local advanced auto or Napa at getting a speedo cable.....and there are several listed by lengths.

I have a 68 floor shift TH400 with no cruise control.....does anyone know what length cable I would need? theres a listing for a 40 incher and a 63 incher....I assume a 63 incher?

63 is likely correct for the auto. I have a muncie (take-off on the other side) and it's 68"....HOWEVER, I went to a 74" from Napa, as it left some room for less tight bends.

Yes, 63" is correct. Just put one on a few months ago from autozone or napa (I forget). I have the same setup 400/th400.
It's a pain getting the new one through the firewall grommet.

I cut the grommet and then applied a dab of silicone before putting it back to the firewall!
