Can someopne send me a picture of the parking brake switch and on off strap from a 67 firebird. I can't seem to be able to find one that is clear. My lite is on all the time and it appears that the "strap "to turn it on and off is missing. thanks Npan@aol.com
The plate you are referring to is part # 7 in the illustration and it installs from the bottom as shown. The parking brake cable runs through it and holds it in place.
My parking brake pedal assembly is in a bag. I will see if I can get some OK photos.

Nah, installs FROM the bottom through the swivel the cable ends at. The plate projects up above the swivel and presses against the switch.
