Is there a trick to putting these back on? Even with the tool I can't seem to get the clip on (already lost one clip)? This is for the rear on a 67 vert with deluxe interior. I did a search and the only hits were how to take them off. Thanks!

I install them by puting the clip in place on the crank and pushing it onto the shaft. The shaft is slightly tapered on the end and spreads the clip as you push it on untill the clip springs back into the groove

yup. that is exactly right. remember to put the plastic washer on first before you push the cranks on and I like to get the handles in a position you like with the windows in either all the way up or all the way down so they are the same on each side for "showing".

Ha. I thought but putting the cip on first, it would not slide onto the shaft. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

If it wont push on give it a tap.
