I was under the car the other night and realized that I don't have the license plate light hooked up. There is a wire attached to it but I don't see how it gets into the trunk to clip to the harness. The wire for the fuel tank sending unit has a rubber plug on it and no room for another wire.
Shoot, was just look'n at mine the other night, and cant remember(lots of beers). Think theres a hole with a grommet in tail panal(right upper) behind license plate. Its tied into tail lamp harness.
Thanks guys. Been really busy lately so not much time to work on the car. I did get the rally II's painted back to stock colors. Turned out really nice and the color is very close to the original one I have for a spare. Still need to reshoot the drivers door and deck lid, get the front valence/turn signals installed and get a front end alignment and I can actually drive it!!!
Still tons and tons of little things to do but I have all winter for that. My wife is having shoulder surgery in about 8 days so I am doing my best to get it road worthy before then so she can drive "her" car.
Yes, there are two holes with grommets for the two items. I believe the license light wire is brown if my memory serves me.

I found this pic on my computer and thought of this posting. I have the same problem - the tail panel was replaced, but there is no hole for the license plate light wire.
The repop tail-panels do not have the holes. I found that out the hard way too after replacing mine.

Thanks for the pictures. That hole is deffinately not in our car. It's gonna kill me to have to drill that big hole in the fresh paint.
Finally got the deck lid resprayed last night. What a pain. The paint underneath kept lifting on resprays. Had to strip it all the way down and start over.
Naw, just use a three inch hole saw so you get some adjustability in where you can run the wire!
