So, I saw a picture of the late model T/A with this wheel... Anyone know if I can score this horn button anywhere? I saw this wheel go for $369 on Ebay... And here is a second one (linked below) Anyone able to help me on my hunt? This guy on E-bay did not reply to my E-mails... also, what are your oppinions on this reporduction?
ahh yeah, my link did not work, basically I was trying to zero in on the image of the button. pending that auction, what do you guys think of the button? I have a formula style wheel on my T/A, but would like to have the "right" horn button, currently I have a "wings up" button.

I have a similar wheel I pulled off a 70's TA years ago. I love that steering wheel. I need to replace the center as well so let me know if you find one. I tried to leave the guy aneBay mesage without success!

Irony lol, the guy got back to me with a price and such. Basically, he wants $100 for just the emblem and the centercap. While steep, I figure he is the only option out there. If anyone else knows another potential reproducer that would be great, but right now seems that this guy is my only hope
I really like the Formula wheel style, and when I found a picture of a late '69 T/A that had it orignial I decided I wanted to get mine too. Like I said, I have the wheel, just the wrong bird on the button. I guess $100 for the bird I will be looking at all the time is not too bad...
What do you think? Any critiques on the craftsmanship in the picture? Any noticable flaws? I don't know much about what this emblem should look like to really give it a "professional" once-over.

The other night while looking at the trim rings have for sale, found one stored away just like that one only leather wrapped. Forgot all about it. Think it's off an 88-91 TA. GM warrentied it cause some of the leather wraping had moved. At some point i ordered the center cap too. Gon'a see how it is compared to the Grant wood wheel on the 68.
$100 is crazy. I have the same wheel on my 69, but with a 70's bird that I got for $10 from NPD or Ames. Maybe if you contacted NPD and asked where they get part numberc-2820-213a, they could ask the company to make one with the wings down bird.
I made one for my grant wheel using an extra "bird" that I bought at a swap meet. I think the bird I used was from the glove box.
This was the only picture I could find quickly. I was driving and trying to take a picture of the car in front of me and the camera went off before I was ready. If you notice, I was doing the speed limit.
Thanks Creekbob, I did not buy it yet,so I will keep an eye on this guy and see how his price changes (if it does). I have been saving for other parts at the moment.
