I want to replace a wire on my '68 and I'm trying to find the factory correct color wire. Does anyone have a source for the following:
Between the alternator and heat/AC blower motor there is a wire with an in-line 30 amp fuse and holder (which I have found a close match to original). On one side of the fuse is a few inch run of black - dbl red stripe and on the other a few feet of black - double orange stripe. I guess they are about 12 guage stranded.
If I cannot find the correct wire, I will likely just mask and paint stripes on some black stranded.
Many years ago an engine fire fried the wire and holder so what I have in there now is functional and neat, but it is not accurate. Since it sits right up in the front of the engine, I would like to replace it this winter.
