anyone know where I can get a good set of heads for a 1968 firebird...

have 455, E heads, poweresteering.... only one to make them are doug's headders... $729 for coated on summit racing.. I was looking for other options... anyone?

called edelbrock... they say dougs....

also ram air specialtities .. however they don't have the right side instock...

need it asap so I can fabrocate a new transmission x-member for a 700R4... grrr

Yes on the Doug's. I have them, fit great. '67 coupe, 455, factory power steering, TH400 auto.

I can even sell you a home made set of short "header mufflers" that would bolt on in case you need something to get you to the muffler shop (what I used them for).

Just do some internet shopping for them. I got my from Pacific Performance Racing about 2 years ago for $600 but they don't sell them anymore.

I actually just got off the phone with Jim Butler himself... he processed my order! I thought that was pretty cool.. I asked him to throw me in a free t-shirt. .First he said... I'll tell you what my daddy told me.. Hugs are great, but where is the money... at the end of the call I said, "2XL" he said, " I'll throw ya in some slimfast and a 1XL" he makes ya payfor it, one way or the other.... he beat summits price by $25 too

Call Thermal Tech in Hopewell, VA. They are Doug's dealer and put a far superior coating on them than the ceramic stuff Doug's and Hooker use.
